Western countries all united! We are unable to fight! The eighth paragraph is dreadful! From Geneva, Ali Sabri warns of an impending threat to Sri Lanka!

According to Mr. Ali Sabri, Minister of Foreign Affairs and President’s Counsel, it is difficult to overturn the Geneva resolution due to the influence of major powers.

This was stated by the minister while speaking to the media from Geneva, Switzerland about the progress of the Human Rights Council meetings.

“A fresh plan has been submitted against us by a group consisting of England, Canada, the United States of America, and Germany.”

“We were entirely against paragraph 8. It refers to victim advocacy and support for judicial and other actions, including in United Nations member states. That’s the most terrifying aspect.”

“This implies, as they say, going outside of the Sri Lankan court process and penalising people by filing lawsuits abroad in respect to specific things that purportedly happened in Sri Lanka during the humanitarian mission.”

“This is meant to target and cause problems. This procedure is unacceptable to us.”

“Hearing cases abroad and bringing foreign judges to Sri Lanka is a complete breach of the constitution of Sri Lanka.”

“They took control of the entire Western world yesterday and offered a plan consensus with 30 people.”

“The Human Rights Commission has only 47 members.” But, realistically, fighting these large countries is difficult.”
