According to reports, a group of MPs from Pohottuwa have informed former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Mr. Namal Rajapaksa that they will not be able to vote against him in the election to remove Public Utilities Commission Chairman Janaka Ratnayake from his position on the 24th.

For that reason, they have pointed out to Mahinda and Namal that this appointment was made by the Pohottu government during the reign of former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, and that Mr. Janaka Ratnayake was a person who always stood by the people and fought against it when the current government continued to increase the electricity bill unfairly.

They have also indicated that he has filed a case before the court against the unfair electricity bill.

It is learned that these MPs have informed Mahinda and Namal that they cannot vote against him due to this.
