There has been a lot of talk these days about a super V8 car that is owned by Murutthettuwe Thero.
First, Murutthettuwe Thero said that the jeep was given to him by Mr. Mannapperuma, and that the vehicle was taken by Colombo Municipal Councilor Priyanka Jayasekara.
But Mr. Mannapperuma later said that he had nothing to do with the transaction.
Also, in giving a statement to the media today, Ms. Priyanka Jayasekara, the municipal councilor, also denied the statement.
