Foreign media reports indicate that the talks between the United States and Iran, which were scheduled to take place today (19) in Burgenstock, Switzerland, have been cancelled.
According to those reports, citing a statement issued by the Swiss Foreign Ministry, the discussions collapsed following the withdrawal of US Vice President J.D. Vance from the planned meeting.
The talks were expected to mark the preliminary phase of discussions aimed at ending the military situation arising from the joint attacks carried out against Iran by the United States and Israel, as well as implementing agreements previously reached between Tehran and Washington.
However, foreign media, quoting a statement from the White House, reported that the US Vice President had taken steps to cancel his visit for the meeting with Iranian representatives.
