UK Eases Rules-of-Origin for Developing Nations, Boosting Exports and Job Creation

At a time when global trade faces significant challenges, the United Kingdom has extended vital support to developing nations—support that deserves appreciation. Under the UK’s Developing Countries Trading Scheme, the rules-of-origin requirements have been relaxed.

This policy shift opens up greater opportunities for various sectors to increase exports, generate more employment, and enhance foreign exchange inflows. It is a timely and much-needed trade win that should be both utilized and celebrated.
