Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader and former Member of Parliament Udaya Gammanpila has appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, Sri Lanka Latest News reports.
It is reported that he appeared before the Commission this morning (09) in connection with the ongoing investigations concerning the 323 containers in question.
Meanwhile, former Minister Wimal Weerawansa appeared before the Tangalle Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit today.
Weerawansa’s appearance follows a summons issued by the police, and it is reported that he is currently providing a statement to the Tangalle Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit.
