These two pillows and the mattress were found when a Speaker of the Parliament inspected the committee rooms of the Parliament complex.
In the meantime, the three-member committee appointed to investigate the sexual harassment allegations is continuing to conduct investigations.
It is said from parliamentary sources that the committee has already recorded the statements of nearly 20 people including female employees in this regard.
Meanwhile, it is said that a group of officials are secretly working to obstruct and influence these investigations and it is reported that the parliamentary authorities have paid special attention to that.
Ms. Kushani Rohanadeera, Secretary General of the Parliament, recently advised the investigation committee to conduct an impartial investigation into the incident and give a report.
In this regard, in our inquiry to Samagi Jana Balawega Matale District Councilor Mrs. Rohini Kumari Wijeratne, she said that since many female employees have given strong evidence against a group of parliamentary officials regarding this incident, the Council of MPs and Women Members of Parliament are watching the results of the investigation very closely.
She said that justice must be done to the abused workers.
