Two individuals have been arrested by the Wattala Police on charges of disorderly conduct in a public place, following an incident in which they allegedly threatened a Buddhist monk. Sri Lanka Latest News
A video showing the suspects confronting and threatening the monk is currently circulating on social media.
According to police reports, the incident took place last night (02) near the Ratnawali Monastery in the Kerawalapitiya area, within the Wattala Police Division.
The arrested suspects are 58 and 67 years old, both residents of the Wattala area.
They are expected to be produced before the Welisara Magistrate’s Court today (03).
