Three Motor Vehicle Dept. Officials Arrested for Rs. 4 Million Bribery in Narahenpita, Sri Lanka

The three suspects arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) at the Motor Vehicle Department, who are accused of receiving a bribe of 4 million rupees, were remanded until June 6.

Earlier today (23rd), three individuals, including the Deputy Commissioner of the Narahenpita Motor Vehicle Department, were taken into custody by the Bribery Commission for allegedly accepting a bribe of 4 million rupees.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption stated that among those arrested, besides the Deputy Commissioner, two assistant managers were also involved.
