Due to that, the floods in Akurassa, Malimbada, Thihagoda, Kamburupitiya and Matara divisional secretariat divisions belonging to the Nilwala river basin in Matara district may rise again.
Meanwhile, the flood level in the lower areas of Bope Poddala, Nagoda and Baddegama divisional secretariats belonging to Ginganga lower basin in Galle district may increase slightly.
Due to that, the people downriver should be very careful, the director added.
