A special meeting of the opposition party leaders is scheduled to be held next week to discuss the next steps to be taken regarding the speaker’s pro-government actions. Sri Lanka Latest News

It was headed by Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition.

It is said that the purpose of this is to discuss the manner in which the speaker behaved during the voting regarding the local debt restructuring held yesterday.

Yesterday, when only five members of the opposition were left in the speaker list, the Speaker took the step to start the polling despite the strong opposition of the members of the opposition.

Apart from this, there were serious criticisms about the behavior of the Katana in the past period.

Accordingly, the opposition party leaders have decided to discuss the future measures to be taken in this regard.
