The opposition leader participate as an observer in the parliamentary finance committee, which is currently in session I Sri Lanka Latest News

It is reported that Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, is participateing in the Finance Committee meeting currently being held in the Parliament. Sri Lanka Latest News

It has been learned that due to the fact that the Leader of the Opposition has been banned from asking questions in the Finance Committee today, he is only observing its activities.

When the opposition leader came to the finance committee and decided to question the government regarding the restructuring of domestic debt, the finance committee under the chairmanship of Mr. Harsha de Silva decided to ban it.

That was after voting on a resolution brought by Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Nimal Lanza.

In that poll, the government won by 10 to 6.

Sajith’s participation in the finance committee is opposed by government MPs, and the committee imposes conditions I Sri Lanka Latest News
