Extraordinary Gazette No. 2337/27 dated 23 June 2023 revised the registration fees and agency renewal fees of the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau.
Meanwhile, every Sri Lankan going abroad for work has been made mandatory to register with the Bureau.
Also, the bureau grants licenses for running a foreign employment agency for a period of one year, and if the agency continues to run, the approval of the bureau to extend the license must be done under the provisions of the Act.

As per the relevant gazette notification, the revised rates are as per the order issued by the Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Foreign Employment on 27.06.2023.
1) Foreign Employment Bureau Registration Fee
Current Value – Rs.17,928.00 (Including Taxes)
New Value – Rs.21,467.00 (Including Taxes)
2) Registration renewal fee
Current Value – Rs.3,774.00 (Including Taxes)
New Value – Rs.4,483.00 (Including Taxes)
3) Fee for renewal of license of an employment agency
Current Value – Rs.58,974.00 (Including Taxes)
New Value – Rs.117,949.00 (Including Taxes)
