The parliamentary session has already started under the chairmanship of the speaker.

The adjournment debate on the government’s manifesto is scheduled to be held today (09) and tomorrow (10), but today also many major opposition parties boycotted the debate.

Accordingly, MPs representing Samagi Jana Balawega, Jatiya Jana Balawega, G.L.-Dallas party and Wimal Weerawansa party was not present in the assembly this morning.

But along with the Tamil National Alliance MPs, only two MPs namely Maithripala Sirisena and Sarathy Dushmantha were seen sitting in the opposition.
