Kalutara South Police say that the naked body of the 16-year-old girl who came to a hotel in Galle Road Kalutara area with a young man was found lying on the railway track behind the hotel.
A 16-year-old girl residing in Kalutara Nagoda area has died mysteriously.
Police say that a woman and a man who allegedly came to the hotel with the girl have been arrested in connection with the incident and the young man who was said to have stayed in the room with the girl has fled.
The deceased girl along with two others, a women and two men had come to the five-storey hotel yesterday evening and asked for two rooms for rent and they were given two rooms on the third floor for rent, police said.
The police say that investigations are being conducted to arrest the young man who was with the 16-year-old girl.
The police have started investigations to find out whether the girl jumped or fell.
