Traders say that the price of wheat flour will rise within the next few days due to the removal of the import duty concession imposed on wheat flour with immediate effect.
In January 2020, this duty relief was provided by reducing the customs import duty from Rs.15-16 to Rs.3 per kg.
The Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy has informed the Customs Department about this decision as per Section 19A of the Customs Ordinance.
