Even though there are discussions about how to get the country on the right track, many of these discussions demonstrate the political game of changing heads and sharing ministerial positions.

At this point, we should focus on the country rather than ourselves, rather than adding more ministers and burdening the country. Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, stated today at a meeting of the United Village Officials Association held at the opposition leader’s office that a national integration programme should be implemented under a new system (1).

The opposition leader stated that the time has come to think about and priorities of the country.

Mr. Sajith Premadasa stated that through a parliamentary committee system, all supporters and opposition parties can positively contribute to the united country building programme. The opposition leader went on to say that he, the Samagi Jana Balawega, and the Samagi Jana Sandanha will continue to be confident in that regard.
