Opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa said that the government is going to bring a Broadcasting Authority Act to further strengthen the Anti-Terrorism Act, and that the government is working to regulate all media through the Free Media Broadcasting Authority.
The opposition leader said that this is a serious action against the right to information and freedom of the media, and through it, the opposition leader said that they are working to create a puppet media culture that obeys and conforms to the government.
The opposition leader further said that he will take the lead to immediately stop the threat to the country’s media by bringing in a dictatorial dictatorial Broadcasting Authority Act.
