The murder of the millionaire businessman Onesh Subasinghe, the owner of Opex Holdings, who was killed in a room in a luxury apartment complex in Jakarta, Indonesia, is still a mystery. Based on the investigations done so far by the Jakarta Police, it has been suspected that his wife and her assistant are responsible for the murder. Both of them are now on the run from Indonesia. Jakarta police investigations revealed that the two fled to Doha along with Onesh’s four-year-old daughter. Did they flee to another country from there? Or still stay in Doha Qatar? If not, are they in Brazil now? The country has not yet received proper information about it.
Even the Indonesian media is not reporting information about this murder. Maybe that’s because the killing is not important enough for them to report.
The killing of Onesh, who was the owner of a leading business company that distributes liquid fertilizers to domestic and foreign markets, is not very important to Indonesia, but because he was a Sri Lankan, the people of our country are more interested in it. That is why Inspector General of Police D. C. Wickramaratne is assigning the responsibility of conducting an investigation regarding Onesh’s murder to the Criminal Investigation Department. In an inquiry made to Inspector General of Police C. D. Wickramaratne, he mentioned that although the murder had taken place in Indonesia, it was decided to conduct an investigation as there may have been pre preparations work done in Sri Lanka.
The Inspector General of Police handed over the investigation of Onesh’s murder to the Criminal Investigation Department on the 9th. Accordingly, a special police team has been appointed under the direct supervision of its Director, Senior Superintendent of Police Kavinda Piyasekera, with the expectation of conducting a comprehensive investigation with the support of the International Police as well as the Indonesian Police. It is also special that this police team is a team made up of real Criminal Investigation Department officers and not the team investigating the murder of Dinesh Shafter.
After the preliminary investigations conducted in this country to find out the reasons behind Onesh’s murder, there is a possibility that this investigation will be extended to a joint investigation with Indonesia. The Criminal Investigation Department is also receiving hints that a special police team will be heading to Indonesia soon.
According to the information received so far from Indonesia, it appears that the killing took place on or around the last 2 days. It is said that the Jakarta police found Onesh’s body on or around the 3rd. That was when Onesh was inside the apartment complex room where his wife, child and wife’s friend were staying.
Onesh’s wife is a Brazilian woman. She is the third wife of Onesh. After two failed marriages, Onesh is said to have met her while on a trip to Brazil. It was in a restaurant. Her name is Rosalia Tasquimonto Cardozoda Silva. Her family including Onesh called her Rosa. The meeting between these two had become far-fetched. As a result, Rosa also got pregnant. When she told him that in a phone call from Brazil, Onesh bursts with happiness because he had no children from both failed previous marriages. He told his family about this and brought Rosa back to Sri Lanka as soon as possible and held a big wedding ceremony in a star class hotel and made her his own according to Sri Lankan tradition.
The baby born to these two is Alisha. She is now a four year old cute daughter. She was studying in an international college located on Borella Alvitigala road. Recently her birthday party was celebrated in a grand style.
Apart from a company that distributes liquid fertilizers to the domestic and foreign markets, he was expanding his investment opportunities to many other businesses, going up in the business world. It is also said that Onesh, a science graduate from Cornell University in the United States of America, is a nutrition management scholar. He was using that knowledge to expand innovative business opportunities.
It is said that Onesh left the country for a visit to Indonesia on January 20. Apart from the wife and her child, the guest who joins this trip is a friend of the wife. She is a Brazilian woman. She came from Brazil and stayed with them for several months. She comes to this country on the invitation of Rosa. It is said that Onesh has even paid her a monthly salary of 3000 US dollars for Rosa’s help.
According to information related to Onesh’s family, Rosa had taken her everywhere she went. It is said that the two of them slept in the same room at night. Although the relationship between these two has not been clearly revealed so far, it is clear that Onesh’s death comes to him due to this person. Even the trip to Indonesia is said to be organized based on the needs of these people. Although Onesh participated in this trip, he had spent most of his time looking into his business activities through WhatsApp. He was in daily contact with his secretary from Indonesia and managed everything better from Indonesia than when he stayed in Sri Lanka.
On the 2nd, Onesh, who had been making daily calls to find out about business problems, the secretary did not, received that usual call. Then she called Onesh. When there was no response from Onesh, she told about this to Onesh’s family. When they also could not contact Onesh, there is a strong suspicion. That is why they inform the management of the apartment complex where Onesh was staying to do some research on Onesh. It is revealed that Onesh is murdered when the apartment complex’s employees open the doors and inspect it. Even that inspection is done with a second thought.
Because there was a sign saying “DON’T DISTURB” hanging on the main door of the house where Onesh was staying. Employees of the apartment complex force the doors open even after knocking on the door several times and when there was no response from inside.
The Jakarta police started investigating this crime after the apartment complex informed the police about it. Preliminary investigations show that this death was a murder. It is not yet known how the murder was carried out. But the Jakarta police confirmed that this death was a murder. Onesh’s murder is believed to have happened on 02. On that day, Onesh’s wife, friend and daughter left the place with their belongings. They are the ones who hang the DON’T DISTURB sign on the door. This is revealed when checking the security camera system of the housing complex.
It is not clear what motivated Rosa and her friend to kill Onesh, but it is clear that there was a close relationship between the two. That day, they both went straight to the airport with their daughter. They are going to Doha Qatar because they have already booked their flight tickets. Accordingly, it appears that Onesh’s murder was not a random incident. It is now clear that Onesh was taken to Indonesia only to be killed.
