A request for a restraining order against protests organized by the Inter-University Student’s Federation was denied by the Colombo Chief Magistrate (IUSF).
During the protests, the Cinnamon Garden Police sought a restraining order from the court to prevent protesters from entering several roads in Colombo.
The IUSF is planning protest marches against the President and the government over the country’s current issues today (08) and tomorrow (09).
