Investigations related to the disappearance of 50 lakh rupees from the Central Bank vault have been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Police Media Spokesman, Senior Superintendent of Police Advocate Mr. Nihal Talduwa stated that the Fort Police Station had previously investigated the matter.
Officers of the Fort Police Station had recorded statements from several Central Bank officials regarding the incident.
The related investigation started with a complaint made by Central Bank officials to the police that 50 lakh rupees in the vaults were missing.
It was found that this amount was missing on the last 11th day.
