A meeting between Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha and Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Mr. Valery Falkov was held in Russia.
At this meeting, the issues of increasing cooperation between the universities of the two countries were discussed, and the Minister, Susil Premajayantha expressed his gratitude to the Russian Minister for the Russian higher education opportunities and scholarships given to the young people of Sri Lanka.
The Russian Minister of Higher Education also said that steps will be taken to further increase the number of scholarships awarded to this country.
At this event, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia, Professor Janitha Liyanage and a group of others attended.
