The department mentions that in Uva province and Ampara and Batticaloa districts there may be scattered showers or thunderstorms in the evening or night.
In the western slopes of the Central Hills, in the Northern, North-Central and North-Western Provinces and in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts, the wind will blow from time to time per km. The Meteorological Department has announced that strong winds of 40-50 may occur.
The Department of Meteorology requests that people take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
