Kadiravelu Sanmugam Kuhadasan, next on the Tamil National Alliance’s preference list for Trincomalee, is set to fill the parliamentary seat vacated by the passing of MP R. Sambandan (Sri Lanka Latest News).
He was the first runner-up when he contested under the Tamil National Alliance in the Trincomalee district in the last general election, receiving 16,770 votes.
He is scheduled to take the oath as the new Member of Parliament for the Trincomalee district next week.
