Sri Lanka’s newly elected President, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, has swiftly begun delivering on his party’s election promises since taking office.
In a significant move, President Dissanayake approved the reinstatement of the old visa system on Thursday and indicated that pro-poor policies will be introduced in the near future.
Additionally, he has ordered that luxury vehicles previously used by government officials be redirected for essential public services.
