It has been reported that sailors aboard the second Iranian ship, currently anchored near Sri Lankan territorial waters, will be repatriated to their country by Sri Lankan Navy vessels starting from 2 pm today.
Following the American attacks on the first Iranian ship, this second vessel had requested permission from Sri Lankan authorities yesterday to enter the country’s territorial waters. However, the request was not granted.
Amid these circumstances, extensive discussions took place among the authorities overnight regarding the repatriation of the sailors. As a result, a decision has now been made to bring the Iranian sailors back to their homeland today.
