Sri Lanka has been ranked 91st in the latest Henley ranking of visa-free travel destinations.

The country with the world’s most powerful passport is Singapore, offering visa-free access to 193 countries.

In the ranking, which includes 99 countries, Sri Lanka shares its position with Iran and Sudan. With a Sri Lankan passport, citizens can visit only 42 countries without the need for a visa.

Japan and South Korea claim the second spot in the rankings, while Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain are tied for third place.

At the bottom of the list is Afghanistan, a South Asian country with the least access to visa-free travel.

Sri Lanka, which was ranked 96th in the 2024 list, has seen an improvement, advancing by five places this year.

Henley & Partners, a global leader in ranking travel document strength, compiles this list based on the number of destinations each country’s passport holders can visit without a visa.
