India recorded a comprehensive victory to clinch the Asian Cricket Cup this year in the final played in R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium today. Sri Lanka Latest News

India defeated the Sri Lankan team by 10 wickets in the final match held today (17).

The Sri Lankan captain won the toss and decided to bat first and could score only 50 runs in 15 overs and two balls.

In Sri Lanka’s innings, Kusal Janith Perera, Sadira Samarawickrama, Charith Asanka, skipper Dasun Shanaka and Matisha Pathirana all got out without scoring.

Kusal Mendis was out for 17 runs, Pathum Nissanka was out for 2 runs, Dhananjaya de Silva was out for 4 runs and Mohammad Siraj, bowled excellently to take 6 wickets for 21 runs.

Apart from that, Hardik Pandya took 03 wickets and Jasprit Bumrah and one wicket.

The Indian team chased the 50 runs to win the Asia Cup by scoring 51 runs without losing any wickets in 6 overs and one ball.
