A shooting incident took place this morning (6) at a shop in the Sandagalawatta area of Alubomulla, Panadura.
According to reports, two unidentified individuals opened fire using a 9 mm pistol before fleeing the scene. A woman was inside the shop at the time of the incident.
During the gunfire, a bullet struck a refrigerator in the shop, though no injuries have been reported.
The Alubomulla Police have launched an investigation into the incident. Further inquiries are being carried out under the supervision of the Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of the Panadura Division, Mr. Nishan de Silva.
