An Indian manager Yoni Patel and his assistant Pachalodia Akash, who are said to have pressured the players to cheat during the Legends Cricket Tournament being held at Pallekele Cricket Stadium these days, have been banned from leaving the island.Sri Lanka Latest News
That is according to a complaint submitted to the Colombo Magistrate’s Court by the Special Police Investigation Unit for Prevention of Sports Offenses.
These Indians have invited former Sri Lankan cricketer and current Sri Lankan selection committee chairman Upul Tharanga and former New Zealand cricketer Neil Broom to cheat matches for money.
Upul Tharanga and Neil Broom have also informed the International Cricket Council’s Fraud and Corruption Investigation Unit regarding this incident.
