Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that he will not participate in the National Assembly tomorrow (29) as he has to participate in several public meetings that have been agreed upon before.
The Leader of the Opposition also mentioned that it is not possible to attend the National Assembly suddenly on a short notice.
He also mentioned that the party will take a policy decision on whether to participate in the National Assembly.
The opposition leader also mentioned that if his party does not get the chairmanship of the Public Business Committee and the Public Accounts Committee of the Parliament, they will have to reject the National Assembly.
