The name of the opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa was proposed as the SJB candidate for the upcoming presidential election at the executive committee meeting of the Samagi Janabalawegaya held today.
Former State Minister Mr. Sujeewa Senasinghe, who was present at the meeting, said that there is no other leader who can be trusted for the upcoming presidential election, and the only person present is Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition.
Party General Secretary Ranjith Maddumabandara has passed the resolution.
