The police said that a 36 year old resident of Samagi Mawatha, Yaya 14 Colony, Kala Oya, Sashika Dulani Weerasinghe, and her 8-year-old daughter named Tisani Priyansa has unfortunately lost their lives due to an accident
The police say that the accident took place when a motorcycle traveling towards the Jayanti Roundabout from shop 30 area on that road collided with a tipper truck traveling in the same direction.
The police said that the mother and daughter who were traveling on the motorcycle have lost their lives.
It is reported that the woman who has died is working as a teacher at Rahul Vidyalaya, 10th Rajanganaya yaya.
37-year-old tipper driver, a resident of Kelagama, Medavachchiya, was arrested and questioned, and the suspect was scheduled to be brought to court.
