Passengers at some stations behaved violently against the station masters and as a result, the issuance of tickets was suspended at many stations such as Dehiwala, Bambalapitiya and Maradana and the station masters withdrew from service after paying attention to safety.
Meanwhile, the Police Media Spokesman stated that the police and the army have been deployed to protect the Colombo Fort railway station.
