Colombo High Court Judge Aditya Patabandige, who sentenced Gnanasara Thero, gave this decision.
His lawyers had submitted this bail request to the court, requesting that the defendant Gnanasara Thero be released on bail as he has filed an appeal against the current four-year prison sentence.
