Scattered showers expected In Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-West, South, North-Central and Uva provinces today (02) pm. The Department of Meteorology announces that there may be scattered showers or thundershowers after around 2.00.

The department mentions that some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Southern provinces and Anuradhapura and Monaragala districts have been affected. m. Heavy rains above 75 are possible.

Foggy conditions are expected in some places in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and Galle and Matara districts in the morning.

The Department of Meteorology urges the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
