Reverend Murutthettuwe Ananda Thero, the Chancellor of Colombo University and chief of Narahenpita Abhayaram, has stated that the Prado V8 jeep he owned, worth more than three crore rupees, was secretly sold by a municipal councilor of the Colombo Municipal Council.
Some people said that Thilini Priyamali, who is currently under remand, stole his jeep, but he said that it was not the concerned woman who did the fraud, but Colombo Municipal Councilor Priyanka Jayasekara.
