Today, the court has taken steps to issue a warrant to Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero for his immediate arrest due to his failure to appear before the court.
Due to his non-appearance at the court hearing held today regarding an allegation that he allegedly used hate speech against the Muslim community, the court has issued a warrant.
Gnanasara Thero is also the chairman of the One Country, One Law Task Force, appointed by former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
