Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has welcomed the joint statement issued by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake during their meeting in New Delhi yesterday (16), describing it as a positive step towards further stabilizing and strengthening Indo-Sri Lankan cooperation.
In an official statement, Wickremesinghe commended President Anura Kumara Dissanayake for advancing the Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) and for taking steps to develop Trincomalee as a regional energy and industrial hub.
