Another round of talks between President Ranil Wickramasinghe and Samagi Jana Balawega was held today.
Opposition Leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa and Party General Secretary Mr. Ranjith Maddumabandara participated in that discussion.
In this discussion, the President Ranil Wickramasinghe has once again invited the Samagi Jana Balawega to work together with the government.
But the opposition leader has indicated that the opposition is ready to support the government’s from the opposition under the parliamentary system.
The party secretary general has indicated that the ministerial positions have become a burden to the country and the people are strongly opposed to the ministerial positions.
On the other hand, the SJB leaders have informed the President that if they accept the positions of the government, they cannot criticize the government and that they can support the government from the opposition in constructive activities.
