The government, according to President Ranil Wickramasinghe, will provide generous support to improve the quality of the University of Colombo, including the Faculty of Law.
This was mentioned by the President during a friendly discussion held at the Dean’s office of the Faculty of Law this morning after participating in the Back to the Faculty of Law – Law Faculty programme organised for the University of Colombo’s 75th anniversary (10).
This discussion included University Vice Chancellor Professor HD Karunaratne, Dean of the Faculty of Law Professor Sampath Punchihewa, Members of Parliament Professor GL Peiris, Madhura Withanage, President’s Counsel Ronald Perera, and others.
Students, on the other hand, could be heard booing as the president left the faculty of law.
