Due to the election commissioner Mr Nimal Puchihewa’s shakiness and weirdness, there has been controversy among the officials attached to the election commission.
It is said that the Chairman of the Election Commission, Mr. Nimal Punchihewa, had instructed the staff to commence work for the forthcoming elections on last Tuesday morning and later in the afternoon want them to slow down the work space.
But the other officers of the commission, who have protested against it, have informed that the started work should be continued, that the election commission is there to conduct elections, and now only the court can stop the election.
Accordingly, it is reported that they conducted the election activities on Wednesday, which was a holiday.
