The department states that occasional rain or thundershowers may occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, South and North-West provinces.
Also, in the rest of the island, there may be rain or thundershowers in the evening or at night, says the Department of Meteorology.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
