Accordingly, the department states that rainfall may increase in the northern, central and eastern provinces.
Also, rain may be in the Western, Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts after 2:00 pm.
The Department of Meteorology also requests the people to take measures to prevent possible accidents due to strong winds and lightning during thunderstorms.
