Radhakrishnan Dismisses Claims Against Sajith at SJB May Day Rally in Talawakele
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

V. Radhakrishnan, the leader of the Kandurata Janatha Peramuna, has clarified that Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) leader Sajith Premadasa did not take any action that could have hurt the sentiments of party members or MPs during the May Day rally held in Talawakele.

Speaking to the media, Radhakrishnan stated that the event concluded peacefully and according to plan, contrary to claims made by certain groups. He emphasized that all arrangements for the rally and the subsequent meeting were jointly organized by Mano Ganesan, Digambaram, the Tamil Progressive Front, and himself.

Radhakrishnan made these remarks in response to allegations suggesting that Sajith Premadasa left the stage prematurely—before party members had exited.

He further explained that it was the Tamil Progressive Front that proposed holding the May Day rally in the plantation sector outside of Colombo, a suggestion which Sajith Premadasa warmly welcomed and approved.
