Pyramid Wilmar, one of Sri Lanka’s most progressive and influential corporate entities in the food manufacturing and marketing sector, has donated a sum of LKR 50 million to the Presidential Secretariat to support the government’s relief efforts for those affected by the recent ‘Ditwah’ cyclone.

Commenting on the contribution, Group Managing Director of Pyramid Wilmar (Pvt) Ltd., M. Sajjad Mawzoon, stated that the widespread devastation caused by the cyclone has placed countless individuals and families across the country in a vulnerable situation. He noted that for those who lost loved ones, life will never be the same.

“In solidarity with all affected individuals and families, we stand with the people of Sri Lanka as the nation begins the process of recovery and rebuilding from this existential challenge. Our commitment is to change life for the better,” he said.

Pyramid Wilmar reaffirmed its continued commitment to its mandate of social responsibility, emphasizing its dedication to supporting communities during times of national crisis.
