Kanchana Wijesekara, Minister of Energy, has stated that Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) trade unions affiliated with all political parties will oppose the proposed CPC reforms.
He went on to say that he had already met with all trade unions, discussed proposed reforms, and conveyed their importance to them.
Meanwhile, a trade union-organized protest against the suggested reforms is set to take place tomorrow in front of the Corporation headquarters.
Minister Kanchana Wijesekera reiterated that petroleum reforms are necessary and that he will continue to work to put them in place.
