Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has emphasized that throughout his political career, he has never acted for personal benefit, but has always worked in the interest of the country.
This statement was revealed in an audio recording of Mr. Wickremesinghe, which was released to the media by Mr. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam during a press conference.
In the same recording, Mr. Wickremesinghe further remarked that the true nature of the current government has now begun to emerge.
