It has been learned that a heated situation has arisen between State Minister Prasanna Ranaweera and Pohottu General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam at the meeting of the ruling party’s parliamentary group held yesterday under the chairmanship of former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
It is also reported that Mr. Prasanna Ranaweera tried to attack Mr. Sagara Kariyawasah with harsh words.
This incident took place while Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena informed the representatives of the committee to participate in the group meeting saying that they need to participate in a committee event.
It has been learned that Mr. Prasanna Ranaweera tried to attack Mr. Sagara Kariyawasam by insulting him.
This is the first time that such an incident has happened while Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa was in the chair.
