Mr Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, said this today (14) at the Samagi Jana Balawega party office, giving the pledge to protect the rights of the upland and lowland plantation communities and signing a social agreement with many plantation political parties and representatives.

Since lakhs of upland and lowland plantation communities contribute to the livelihood of the country, they are not always kept in the position of labourers, but they have the right to farmland and a house as well as the great opportunity to work as plantation entrepreneurs in the plantation sector. The opposition leader also said that a clear social consensus will be reached to strengthen these people with timelines and not just slogans for the community.

The opposition leader said that since the first day of the formation of the Samagi Jana Balawega government, we will not discuss all these issues but work to make this social contract a reality on the ground and this can be called an important juncture in the democratic history of this country. It is the foremost role of the Samagi People’s Alliance to take an important journey that will bring economic and social freedom to the plantation community.

The leader of the opposition said that an agreement was signed today with the real representatives of the pure upland and lowland plantation community and these leaders demanded to protect and protect their community and bring about the dawn of development without any personal favours. said.

For this agreement, the leader of the opposition, Mr. Sajith Premadasa, representing the Samagi Jana Balawega, the leader of the Democratic People’s Front, Mr. Mano Ganesan, the leader of the Democratic People’s Front, the leader of the National Labor Front, Mr. Palani Digambaram, the leader of the Kandurata People’s Front, V. Mr. Radhakrishnan, Kegalle District Samagi Jan Balavega Member of Parliament Mr. Sujith Sanjay Perera, Kandy District Samagi Jan Balavega Member of Parliament M. Mr. Velukumar and Nuwara Eliya District Samagi Jana Balawega Member of Parliament M. Mr. Udayakumar was signed.
